October’s Hot Off The Press
Everett Cline will never humiliate himself by seeking a mail-order bride. Not again. He’s already been jilted by three mail-order brides and figures a wife just isn’t in his future. However, a well-meaning neighbor hasn’t given up on seeing him settled, so she goes behind his back to bring yet another woman to town for him.
Julia Lockwood has never been anything more than a pretty pawn for her father or a business acquisition for her former fiance. A mail-order marriage in faraway Kansas is a last resort, but she’ll do anything to leave her life in Massachusetts and the heartbreak she’s experienced there.
Although Everett doesn’t see how a beautiful, cultured woman like Julia could be happy sharing his simple life, he could really use a helpmate on his homestead. Determined to prove she’s more than just a pretty face, Julia agrees to a marriage in name only. Faced with the harsh realities of life on the prairie and hesitant to explore the tentative feelings growing between them, can Everett and Julia ever let each other in long enough to fall in love?
Missionary Julia Foster loves working alongside her parents, ministering and caring for young girls in India. But when the family must return to England due to illness, she readily accepts the burden for her parents’ financial support. Taking on a job at Highland Hall as governess, she quickly finds that teaching her four privileged, ill-mannered charges at a grand estate is more challenging than expected, and she isn’t sure what to make of the estate’s preoccupied master, Sir William Ramsey.
Widowed and left to care for his two young children and his deceased cousin Randolph’s two teenage girls, William is consumed with saving the estate from the financial ruin. The last thing he needs is any distraction coming from the kindhearted-yet-determined governess who seems to be quietly transforming his household with her persuasive personality, vibrant prayer life, and strong faith.
While both are tending past wounds and guarding fragile secrets, Julia and William are determined to do what it takes to save their families—common ground that proves fertile for unexpected feelings. But will William choose Julia’s steadfast heart and faith over the wealth and power he needs to secure Highland Hall’s future?
Journey along with American settlers who learn that despite where the trail takes them or how primitive their lodgings may be Christmas is all about the heart. Determined to honor Christ’s birth, these pioneers find a way to make Christmas happen in places like a cave, a tipi, and a dugout. Modern readers will enjoy a peek into life before commercialism took over the sacred day, distracting us from the true blessings of faith, hope, and love. Enjoy nine original novellas of Christmas romance as penned from many of today’s leading Christian authors, including Lauraine Snelling, Margaret Brownley, Kathleen Fuller, and Vickie McDonough

Beloved by Robin Lee Hatcher
Where the Heart Lives seriesSetting: 1900 Boise, Idaho
To say the least, it was inconsiderate of Diana’s almost-dead husband to show up at her engagement party.
Diana Brennan came west on the orphan train and was given a home with a loving couple who cherished and spoiled her. At 17, she fell hard for Tyson Applegate, the son of a wealthy mine owner. After a whirlwind courtship and marriage, Tyson took off for adventures around the world, including fighting with the Rough Riders in Cuba. Receiving no word from him in years, Diana’s infatuation with her dashing husband died an ugly death, and she is ready to move past the old pain and marry again, just as soon as Tyson is declared legally dead.
But when Tyson returns, claiming to be a changed man, he wants to reunite with his wife and run for the senate. While Diana suspects the election is his real reason for wanting her by his side, she agrees to maintain his home and to campaign with him, but when it is over, win or lose, she wants her freedom.
He agrees with one condition—she must give him a chance to change her mind about him.
About the Author:
Best-selling novelist Robin Lee Hatcher is known for her heartwarming and emotionally charged stories of faith, courage, and love. She discovered her vocation after many years of reading everything she could put her hands on, including the backs of cereal boxes and ketchup bottles. Winner of the Christy, the RITA, the Carol, the Inspirational Reader’s Choice, and many other awards, Robin is also a recipient of the prestigious RWA Lifetime Achievement Award. She is the author of 70 novels and novellas with over four million copies in print.
Robin enjoys being with her family, spending time in the beautiful Idaho outdoors, reading books that make her cry, and watching romantic movies. Her main hobby (when time allows) is knitting, and she has a special love for making prayer shawls. A mother and grandmother, Robin and her husband make their home on the outskirts of Boise, sharing it with Poppet, the high-maintenance Papillon, and Princess Pinky, the DC (demon cat).
A Note from Robin:
I love second chance love stories, and Tyson Applegate desperately needs a second chance with Diana. He easily won her the first time with his charm and good looks, but it will take more than that to make up for breaking her heart and cause her to love him again. Although I don’t have favorite books that I’ve written, I do have some favorite characters. Tyson and Diana are two of them. I wanted very much to give them a happy ever after ending.

Rebekah by Jill Eileen Smith
4 Stars from RT Book Reviews
Can love heal the rift between two souls?
When her beloved father dies and she is left in the care of her conniving brother Laban, Rebekah knows her life has changed forever. Though she should be married by now, it’s clear that Laban is dragging his feet, waiting for a higher bride-price to line his pockets. When she is given a chance to leave her home to marry Isaac, a cousin she has never even seen, Rebekah’s hope for the future is restored. Little does she know what a wondrous and heart-wrenching journey she is beginning.
As Rebekah experiences the joy of young love and the bitterness of misunderstanding and betrayal, her resolve will be tested. When the rift between her and Isaac grows so wide it is surely too great to be mended, can she trust the God of Isaac’s father Abraham to bridge the gap?

All In Good Time By Maureen Lang
And for Monday only: the e-book is free!
A Note from Maureen:
New releases are always exciting! I was just telling my husband that THIS book is my favorite, but he’s noticed I say that about every new release. Well, this one really is holding a special place in my heart. I think authors, like parents with their children, love each book for certain reasons. For me, the hero in All In Good Time is my special reason. He starts out as such a curmudgeon I just couldn’t wait to soften him up a bit—but for it to be convincing, it had to be handled gradually. I’d try to make him crumble and he kept doing something to shore himself up. All in good time, he’d say to me. Needless to say, he was the perfect match for my impatient heroine.
Here’s a little about All In Good Time:
Dessa Caldwell has a dream, to offer refuge for fallen women. All she needs is a loan so she can open Pierson House sooner than she ever expected.
Henry Hawkins has a secret—but he also owns one of the most successful banks in Denver. He hasn’t earned that success by granting foolish loans, but when his manager gives Dessa the money she needs, Henry’s best efforts to stop it fail—and in the process the fortress he’s built around his heart begins to crumble.
But will their secrets keep them apart?
The flaws and secrets of Dessa Caldwell and Henry Hawkins may very well keep them apart . . . until they realize it’s those very flaws and secrets that make them perfect for one another.
Details about pricing:
I’m thrilled to share that Tyndale House is offering this brand new release as an absolutely free e-book download, and all you need to do to take advantage of it is to act quick! It’s free only 3/31 and 4/1 – Sunday and Monday. (If you miss this short promotional time there will be special pricing all week, $2.99 for a couple of days and then 4.99 until the regular e-book pricing takes affect next Sunday at around $9.00.)
All In Good Time is available everywhere, but the special pricing is being offered for electronic copies only.

More Great Stuff From Bethany House
I know I’m babbling like the wallflower who’s just been asked to her first prom, but Bethany House continues to be amazing in their treatment of my upcoming cozy mystery, Rules of Murder.
They just sent me some review copies of the book. Not the final thing, of course, but just preview copies they send out to reviewers and other media people so they’ll know what they’re promoting.
How cool is that?
Of course, the actual book will have the full cover and back cover and won’t have the media/promotional text, but inside is the whole book in all its unedited glory. (Click on the pictures to enlarge.)
Then, to add more fun, they sent me the proof for the Rules of Murder notepads they’re creating as a giveaway for the book.
I know it’s just a small thing, but it’s so beautifully done. And I just love all they’re doing to give this book a good start.
I am blessed!
Thank you, Bethany House!

More Audio News!
I just found out that my upcoming audiobook of Rules of Murder is scheduled to be read by Simon Vance. He is an AudioFile Golden Voice and Booklist magazine’s inaugural “Voice of Choice,” Simon has won two coveted Audie Awards and more than 20 Earphone Awards. His range includes classics such as Dickens and Trollope, modern thrillers, and many nonfiction titles, including an AudioFile Book of the Year.
I continue to be amazed at the treatment Bethany House is giving my book. It’s a total miracle, something only God could have brought about. I am so grateful to Him.
I’m SO looking forward to hearing my story read in Mr. Vance’s beautiful English accent. Drew will be so pleased.

I’m SO excited! I just found out that Rules of Murder will have an UNABRIDGED AUDIO EDITION coming out on August 1st along with the paperback and e-book versions.
The wonderful people at Brilliance Audio already have it on their website HERE.
How cool is THAT?
I can’t wait to find out who will be doing the narration.
